As part of Scouting's national You Shape month, the Scout Troop spent an evening taking part in a variety of team building activities and then discussing what they enjoy about their Scouting adventure. Armed with pens and paper the Scouts made posters about Scouting, what they enjoy about it and the many new challenges and experiences they've had, and what they'd to do in the future.
Scouting is a "movement" and only by listening to the young people who are part of it, can it continue to be active, engaging, relevant and continue to grow.
The Scout Troop, we are pleased to report, has been growing its numbers significantly over the last few months with numbers now regularly up to 50 each Friday night.
So, to enable the Scouts to work in smaller groups and provide the girls and boys with more leadership opportunities, each of the 4 Patrols now has now been restructured into 2 sub-Patrols. These new Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders were given their promotions during the evening, as well. So congratulations to:-
Sam, Connor, Korban, Liam, Nadja, Charlotte, Helena, George A, Teddy, Jonah, Isabel A. Tatjana and Iain our new Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders
and to Adam for his Senior Patrol Leader promotion.
Lots of photos now in the Gallery.
